Hypothetical Skincare Brand: Preserve

This long-term project focuses on creating a hypothetical skincare brand called Preserve which
focuses on the health of your skin. The goal is create a brand that has one consistent theme and
also includes a logo, tagline, packaging (2D & 3D), and brand guideline styles.

Logo & Packaging

Preserve is a brand that focuses on skincare products. We focus primary on the health of your skin, beauty is a secondary priority. I want to represent the health and cleanliness/freshness of the brand. I incorporated the color scheme of green into the brand because it symbolizes health and peace. Typography was an obstacle to pick for the brand because It was hard to convey my message into a type face. Although, I did pick a type face called Gelica that I felt it fit Preserve and would complement the color scheme.

Promotion Materials

For a new brand, it is important to develop promotional materials that convey to the audience what your brand is and what is your mission. Through Preserve, I desired to promote the health side of Preserve. I mainly used the color green because of how the color symbolizes health and peace. The blue is incorporated into the brand colors to represent freshiness of the brand.

Brand Guidelines

Through a brand guideline, you are showing the person or group how to use your brand correctly. From which color schemes, which typography is appropriate to use, and how to use the language of the brand. As a designer, you have to convey the brand’s voice to the audience that the brand owner desires.
